In-House Counsel

Role Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile In-House Legal Counsel to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in providing legal support across a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, and safeguarding the company’s legal interests. This position offers a dynamic environment where your contributions will directly impact the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.

Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory issues affecting the company’s operations.

Conduct legal research and prepare opinions, reports, and briefs to support management decisions.

Liaise with external counsel and regulatory authorities when required.

Support dispute resolution and litigation management, including preparing documentation and coordinating case strategies.

Ensure company policies and practices are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on legal and compliance matters.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Call to the Nigerian Bar.

2–3 years of post-call experience, preferably in corporate/commercial practice.

Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
